Kate Middleton and Prince William made a telling move over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's UK return.
The Prince and Prince of Wales - who are not on speaking terms with Harry and Meghan since Queen Elizabeth's funeral in 2022, haven't broke their silence on The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's return to England last week, after six years.
Despite being against the idea of welcoming the Sussexes back into the Royal fold after how they damaged monarchy's public image on various occasions, the future King and Queen did not make any statement as of now for a very prominent reason, per the insider.
An inside source exclusively told PEOPLE that William and Kate are holding back their "knee-jerk reaction" to Harry and Meghan's UK comeback.
“They are watching this space. It’s private — they don’t feel the need to say anything or demonstrate anything outwardly," added the source.
The insider further noted that any reconciliation between the warring brothers and their respective wives "will be a slow build. There is a deep sense of betrayal."
This update came after an exclusive report about Kate and William's private one-on-one with King Charles to seek "reassurance" over Harry and Meghan's Royal roles.
An insider told, Vanity Fair, "There’s a sense that William is going to have to be watching over his shoulder the whole time. He doesn’t know what his brother is going to spring on them all next."
They continued, "This was meant to be a happy time for him. Catherine is doing well and George is just about to start Eton. This has just derailed them."
"Prince William is very concerned about the Sussexes coming back and why they have made the decision so quickly," added the source.
They further revealed that William "adamant the situation must remain as it is and that Harry and Meghan will not carry out royal engagements."
"He has sought his father’s assurance there will be no changes to the present situation," claimed the tipster.
