Prince Daniel has broken cover shortly after Swedish Royal Family's heartfelt gesture to grieving Norway's King Haakon.
As the world is mourning the loss of Norwegian oldest monarch, the Duke of Västergötland has resumed his royal duties in order to support monarchy.
On Tuesday, September 1st, Daniel, 52, has attended a meaningful engagement at The Royal Palace to personally appreciate the efforts of Swedish researcher, Daniel Engelbertsen.
During the official meeting, Princess Victoria's life parent has handed out the Heart-Lungfond's research proposal to the younger aspiring scientists, who are working continuously to bring out the information regarding cardiovascular disease.
His Majesty, King Carl XVI Gustaf's office shared a glimpse of the royal engagement, highlighting Prince Daniel's dedication towards his senior royal duties.
"Prince Daniel has handed out the Heart-Lungfond's research proposal “Prince Daniel's proposal to younger promising scientists" to professor Daniel Engelbertsen," the Swedish Royal Family noted.
The statement continued, "Engelbertsen studies why cancer treatment can in some cases increase the risk of cardiovascular disease."
For those unaware, Prince Daniel, who is husband of King Carl’s heir apparent, Princess Victoria, is associated with cardiovascular & medical research, as patron and Honorary Chairman of the Board.
Under the umbrella of the Heart-Lung Foundation, he established and personally awards this prestigious annual grant of 6 million SEK to cutting-edge cardiovascular research projects.
Prince Daniel might be among the royals across the globe, who are expecting to attend the upcoming mass funeral of the Norway’s late King Harald V, who died at the age of 89 last week.

King Carl Gustaf, who is the godfather of King Haakon VII, has also sent personalized letter to the monarch, expressing utter grief and sadness over the loss.
"On the occasion of the swearing-in in Parliament earlier today, H.M. the King has sent a telegram to H.M. The King of Norway in the afternoon," the somber message noted.
Expressing condolences, King Carl said, "With great sadness, my family and I have received the news of King Harald's passing. A hard blow has struck Norway."
"Dear Godson! It is my hope that you feel great support from Your godfather, from Your Swedish family and from all the Swedish people when you now assume your high office as King of Norway," he concluded.
Well, it is not confirmed how many royal members from Sweden would attend the funeral ceremony of King Harald V, several other royals confirmed their presence at the high-stakes event.
How many royals are expected to attend King Harald V's funeral?
King Frederik X and Queen Mary have released official statement about the funeral, as they postponed their state visit to Belgium, which had been due to take place September 8th-10th.
"In connection with the death of His Majesty King Harald V, the state visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen to Belgium, which was to have taken place on 8 to 10 September 2026, is postponed," they noted.
King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, Princess Beatrix, and Princess Catharina-Amalia (Princess of Orange,) King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, will attend the funeral ceremony.
