Sanjay Leela Bhansali has officially wrapped the shoot of Love & War, his highly anticipated film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
The much-awaited film Love & War has officially completed its shoot.
Bringing the three stars together for the first time, the romantic war drama is now headed for post-production.
The shoot wrapped with Bhansali and the team sharing an emotional farewell with the entire cast and crew, as the filmmaker now shifts focus to post-production.
The film has been highly anticipated among Hindi cinema fans, given its impressive cast and Bhansali at the helm.
As details surrounding the film remain tightly under wraps, the shoot marks an important milestone on the road to its theatrical release.
Previously, Bhansali had revealed earlier, in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter India that the film has “no pillars, no costumes, no horses; it's different.”
At the time he also addressed the many Internet theories about Love & War, clarifying, “Not at all,” adding, “I love Sangam. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) is also like Sangam, where I tried to make Aishwarya Rai [Bachchan] into Vyjayanthimala, who’s the most beautiful woman on the Indian screen, according to me.”
While keeping details under wraps, Bhansali revealed his excitement about reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor after 18 years, saying, “I'm working with Ranbir [Kapoor] after 18 years and I can't stop working with Alia [Bhatt] because there's still so much [potential] to tap into; The chota-packet-bada-dhamaka girl that she is. I’m also working with Vicky Kaushal for the first time. But besides being wonderful actors, they're wonderful people.”
The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on January 21, 2027, giving it a release window around the Republic Day weekend.
The news has heightened anticipation for the film, which is set to combine elements of romance and war against a sweeping backdrop.
