Amitabh Bachchan has broken his silence after receiving a threat letter!
The Sholay actor, who most recently appeared in the popular reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati, has decided to extend his hiatus from the spotlight.
Bachchan, who turned 84 on October 11, shares updates with his followers regularly through his blog and social media platforms.
However, on Friday the Paa star posted on his Tumblr blog about his ongoing recovery and emphasised the need to allow his body more time to rest.
"Yet more rest needed .. adjusting .. thinking and wondering .. the human body and its uniqueness," the veteran Indian actor added.
This update marked his first since he was mentioned in a threat letter received by Mumbai's mayor's office and city schools.

Apart from the Zanjeer actor, internationally famed singer Diljit Dosanjh also threatened to postpone his concert scheduled for October 30th, 2026.
After receiving the threat, Mumbai Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
It remains unconfirmed whether the threat directly referenced the actor's Jalsa or Prateeksha bungalow.
Amitabh Bachchan announced a temporary break from social media and online writing on October 21st, stating that doctors advised him to take a few days off to rest and recuperate.
Why did Amitabh Bachchan announce break?
At the time, he clarified to his fans that he was instructed to undergo strict rest and temporarily stop writing or communicating online.
The break followed an incident earlier in October 2026 on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, where he slipped and fell, injuring his left knee and forcing him to sit during his opening monologues.
Despite receiving the threats, neither Amitabh Bachchan nor Diljit Dosanjh have reacted to these ongoing threats.
