The annual award season has come to an end as the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has officially begun.
On Saturday, September 5th, the first night of the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony saw several stars winning top prizes for their respective contributions in the entertainment industry.
The event kicked off the star-studded evening, which took place at the Peacock Theatre in DTLA, honouring the year's artistic and technical achievements in television, with Hacks, Beef and The Pitt among this year's nominees.
On the first night of the Creative Arts Emmys, Hollywood celebrated television talent on and off screen and began turning nominees into winners.
Among the top winners, Mariska Hargitay was on top as she bagged trophies for the category of Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special and Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program for her film My Mom Jayne at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys.
The Law & Order: SUV starlet has led the night for her remarkable performance in her 2025 release, My Mom Jayne.
Alongside Mariska Hargitay, John Candy: I Like Me director, Colin Hanks, Dancing With the Stars' host, Julianne Hough, The Upshaws star, Wanda Sykes, and Big Brother host, Julie Chen Moonves.
The awards show continues with Night 2 and the Governors Gala on Sunday, followed by the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14th, airing at 8 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
