Slain filmmaker Rob Reiner's legacy continues to live on nine months after his brutal killing.
On the second consecutive evening of the celebration for the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys, the deceased star has been honoured with the first major posthumous accolade.
The late actor-turned-director won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday, September 6th, 2026.

Rob has been recognised nine months after he was murdered alongside his life partner, Michele Reiner, due to his exceptional acting performance in season four of The Bear.
In the critically acclaimed American comedy-drama television series, the late actor and director played the role of restaurant consultant Albert Schnurr.
However, the portrayal has become the winning element for the director, who also reportedly beat the American actors, including Michael J. Fox, Brett Goldstein, Hamish Linklater, Christopher McDonald and Connor Storrie.
The audience gave a brief standing ovation to the late artist inside the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, where the annual 78th Primetime Awards Show is scheduled to take place on Monday, September 14th.

In addition to this, Rob Reiner has also earned his life's two Emmys, as this marked his third and first after his alleged murder in December last year.
He initially received his first nod in 1974 for an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for All in the Family, the second in the 1978, for an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for the same series.

It is pertinent to note that Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, were found unresponsive in their Brentwood home in December 2025.
Their son Nick Reiner, 32, has been indicted on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with their deaths and has pleaded not guilty.
However, Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner's eldest son, Jack Reiner, who recently appeared in a podcast for the first time after his parents' brutal murder, has yet to respond to his dad’s new honour.
