Kareena Kapoor has revealed that husband Saif Ali Khan calls her “hardcore” when she rejects a script he likes.
Speaking to Brut India, the Jab We Met actress revealed that Karisma Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are the family members most likely to give her unfiltered feedback.
However, she said they remain “careful” as everyone is sensitive about their work.
Kareena said “I think Saif and I are different kinds of actors. Sometimes I say, 'No, I don't like this script'. He will say I am too hardcore. Then I tell him, 'Go do it!' I mean, we are two different kinds of actors. So, we try not to get into each other's space because it is difficult. Coming from the same profession, you will have an opinion on certain things and the way you do them. But we have to tread carefully also because actors are pretty sensitive people.”
She also revealed to director Meghna Gulzar and co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran that Saif had his own opinion on Daayra, though she chose not to hear it.
“Saif was giving his take about the colour of the poster, and I said, 'Listen, keep quiet! You message Meghna,” added Kareena.

Kareena is gearing up to lead Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming thriller Daayra, which marks their first project together and co-stars Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Based on true events, Daayra was co-written by Meghna Gulzar, Yash Keswani and Sima Agarwal. The film, backed by Junglee Pictures and Dr Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios, features Kareena and Prithviraj as cops.
Daayra is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18 and will clash with Kunal Kemmu's Vibe. The spy comedy also stars Preity Zinta and Sparsh Srivastava in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is currently promoting his highly anticipated film Haiwaan, starring alongside Akshay Kumar, which hits theatres on September 11, 2026.
