Aamir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala and R. Balki are reportedly in discussions for an ambitious superhero film, potentially bringing together three major names from Bollywood for a high-profile project.
As per Bollywood Hungama, the Don 3 star is in preliminary talks with Sajid Nadiadwala for an ambitious superhero film to be directed by R. Balki.
The project is still in the early scripting stage, with Aamir showing interest but yet to formally commit.
According to sources, discussions are expected to continue in the coming months as the script and creative vision take shape.
Several aspects, including the screenplay, character development and production design, are expected to be worked out before the film enters its next phase.
Known for his preference for a finalized screenplay, Aamir is actively involved in developing the script with the makers.
If the project materializes, it would mark Aamir’s first collaboration with Sajid Nadiadwala and R. Balki.
While Aamir and Sajid share a long-standing friendship, they have never worked together.
Balki, known for films like Paa, Pad Man and Chup, is expected to bring an unconventional approach to the superhero genre.
The filmmaker has mostly worked with Amitabh Bachchan and has rarely collaborated with the top Khans of Bollywood.
Balki admitted in 2017 that collaborating with the Khans could be difficult due to the time involved.
Now, nearly a decade later, he is working on an ambitious project with Aamir Khan.
The development of a superhero project comes soon after reports emerged that Aamir is also in talks for Race 4.
The source clarified that both projects are in the discussion stage and eventually may or may not happen.
Aamir’s only confirmed project is Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lalkaara, a period sports drama based on the 1952 India-Pakistan Test series, which begins filming in November 2026.
He is also expected to star in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots sequel, though it remains in development.
