Sandra Bullock has revealed that her daughter Laila has developed a passion for racing, raising the possibility that the youngster could one day pursue a career in Formula 1.

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark on Thursday, September 10, the 62-year-old star opened up about her children, son Louis Bardo, 16, and daughter Laila, 13.

When host Mark Consuelos asked what they are “up to right now,” she jokingly replied, “School.”

“It’s a lot. School is a lot for kids,” Bullock said, before adding, “I’m so glad I’m not in school. I would not survive.”

The Practical Magic 2 starlet said both Louis and Laila enjoy playing basketball.

“My son is a basketball player, so it’s all things basketball right now,” Bullock said.

She added, “So, that’s where his focus is. And Lai, she’s a basketball player, too, but she’s a race car driver.”

“Excuse me? What do you mean? She’s 13, right?” host Kelly Ripa said as Bullock nodded in agreement.

“Where does she race cars?” Ripa, 55, added.

Bullock recalled how Laila would “take the training wheels off” her bike and ride down the stairs when she was only 4 years old.

“And then I got her an E-bike in the backyard,” Bullock explained, before adding, “And then I found a way to put her in a race car on a private track that might have been a Porsche like 911 race car. She’s 13, mind you, but at this point she’s 12.”

“She is so good that they came to me and they said if you want to train her she could be like a Formula 1 racer,” she continued.

Th Bird Box actress mentioned, “And I go, ‘So how does that look for the mom, like what does that do for me?’ ”

She shared that the trainers suggested she “take [Laila] out from school and you’re in Monte Carlo and you’re training.”

Bullock also joked about being a “race mom” before revealing that Laila went straight from go-karts to cars.

She said racing seems to be “in her DNA” and that she would support her daughter pursuing the sport as an adult, while encouraging her to explore other hobbies for now.

Notably, Sandra Bullock has two adopted children, son Louis and daughter Laila.
