Late actress Hayden Panettiere's ex-beau Brian Hickerson has paid a high price for his alleged altercation at a bar.
A month after the deceased actress passed away, her on-and-off boyfriend was handcuffed and briefly detained by police following an alleged altercation at a bar in Greenville, South Carolina.
What happened at the bar?
On Saturday, September 12, the incident took place at Wild Wing Cafe on Woodruff Road at around 9:10 pm when Brian was reportedly involved in an assault inside the restaurant and found several people involved in an altercation.
The Greenville Police Department claimed that officials immediately responded to the report as multiple patrons, including Brian and his brother Zach, were detained while officers investigated.
According to the police investigation, Zach was found to be highly intoxicated and began yelling profanities in public.
Notably, he was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge and taken to the Greenville County Detention Centre. He was released on bond on Sunday afternoon.
Brian Hickerson, meanwhile, was released from the scene and was not charged, police said.

In the viral footage of the incident, Brian is heard referring to Panettiere’s death while he is being restrained by police.
This incident came more than a month after Hayden Panettiere was found at an Airbnb in Greenville on August 16 after emergency services were called.

Her brother Zach previously said that Brian administered Narcan and attempted CPR before emergency responders arrived. Panettiere was pronounced dead at the scene.
However, the authorities have not revealed the real reason for the deceased actress's death.
For the unversed, Brian Hickerson and Hayden Panettiere had a complicated relationship spanning several years. The pair began dating in 2018, and their relationship was marked by allegations of domestic violence.

After the actress's death, her estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, criticised the late actress's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, stating that he was toxic, enabled her, and was someone the family had long tried to remove from her life.
