Buckingham Palace has dropped a delightful update after King Charles’s big move.
Taking to the official Instagram account of the Royal Family on Monday, September 14, the Palace updated royal fans about Princess Anne’s latest engagement, sharing that she attended a special event at the International Sheep Dog Society in her role as its patron.
“A round of a-paws for this year’s winners of the International Sheep Dog Trials!” read the caption.
The Royals continued, “As Patron, The Princess Royal attended the event hosted by the International Sheep Dog Society, which works to support the training and welfare of sheep dogs.”
“Her Royal Highness met team members from across the United Kingdom, watched qualifying runs and presented awards for the contribution to sheepdog trialling,” it added.
The post also featured a carousel of photos from the engagement, showing the Princess Royal sweetly mingling with the event staff and expressing her love for dogs.
King Charles supports Prince Harry’s Invictus Games
Buckingham Palace’s latest update comes hours after it was revealed that King Charles showed support for Prince Harry’s Invictus Games by bringing Uganda back to the sport event.
Chris Magezi, a military officer serving as spokesperson of Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), took to his official X handle on Monday, September 14, to release an official statement, confirming the country’s participation in Prince Harry’s 2027 Invictus Games, scheduled to be held in Birmingham, UK.

In the statement, Magezi shared that after speaking to King Charles III’s office and receiving the monarch’s approval, General Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, decided to approve the country’s armed forces’ participation in the highly anticipated sporting event.
The official also shared that General Kainerugaba appreciated King Charles’ message and clarity provided by Buckingham Palace on the subject, promising that the UPDF would resume preparations to participate in the upcoming games.
Furthermore, in the message, Chris Magezi explained that Uganda had previously withdrawn its participation from the Games in order to avoid straining ties with the British monarch and the Royal Family.
