Kareena Kapoor Khan has opened up about being “hyper” over her sons Taimur and Jeh’s screen time.
The Jab We Met star admitted that she is “hyper” about screen time and often has to snatch phones away from her children, whom she shared with her husband Saif Ali Khan.
Kareena talked about Taimur and Jeh’s use of devices such as laptops and mobile phones and said, "They do not have access to phones. Taimur’s nanny has a phone which he insists is his phone. I said, ‘Its not your phone.’ He asked if he can tell his friends that it’s his phone, but I denied. I am hyper about the whole digital thing, but then he then points out that ‘you and abba also talk on the phone.’ When they are playing games all day, I literally have to snatch phones from their hands."
She added, "Saif feels that I am too hyper and I need to relax, but I tell him that I need to be hyper about this. So, this is the only thing that we probably argue about. I just want to keep them still as small as possible… forever."
Kareena acknowledged the need to adapt to changing times but stressed that she wants to protect her children from excessive exposure to technology.
The 3 Idiots actress said she is concerned about how AI could affect her children, acknowledging that some applications of the technology disturb her.
She called for a balanced approach that limits harmful uses while embracing its positive potential.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan have two sons together: Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor will next appear in Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar and co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The actors will portray police officers in the film, which is inspired by true events and co-written by Gulzar, Yash Keswani and Sima Agarwal.
