The Bombay High Court has put the release of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, on hold amid a dispute involving ₹8.85 crore.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the high court has halted the commercial release of Tu Hai Meri Kiran until producer Echelon Productions secures co-producer AND Movie Products LLP’s ₹8.85 crore investment, plus 15% annual interest.

The dispute reached the High Court after co-producer AND Movie Products LLP sought interim protection of its contractual and financial interests, prompting an order from a single-judge bench led by Justice Amit Borkar.

Tu Hai Meri Kiran was initially set to release in theatres on October 23, 2026.

However, the court’s order has put its theatrical release on hold until the required financial security is furnished.

While acknowledging the considerable investment and work that goes into producing a film, the court indicated that it was not seeking to prevent the movie from reaching audiences indefinitely.

It maintained, however, that the investor’s interests must be safeguarded before commercial release.

Echelon Productions will need to meet the court’s financial security requirements for the co-producer’s investment and interest before proceeding with the film’s commercial release.

The Bombay High Court’s order has delayed the theatrical release of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, with its release now contingent on compliance with the court’s directions.

The dispute underscores the financial and contractual complexities that can emerge between production partners over major film investments.
