Ninth Earl of the Spencer family has reportedly triggered King Charles III with his explosive memoir drama.
The upcoming tell-all book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, which is set for release on September 22nd, 2026, suggests cheating claims made by the younger sibling of the deceased royal, Princess Diana.
Recalling his conversation with his late sister, Earl Spencer revealed that the former Princess of Wales once told him that she was going to get "divorced."
The 62-year-old British author further shared his reaction, stating, "I was silent for a moment. I had known things were bad, but not this bad."
However, the detail which has taken the internet by storm was the cheating claim made by the late Princess before finalising her separation.
"She looked up at me, nodded, and said quietly: ‘But, Carlos, my husband is in love with his valet.’ I gulped. ‘Well, I guess, in that case, you really don’t have a choice," he continued.
He did not reveal the name of the alleged staffer, as he believed, “It was not important: the end of her marriage, and of her dreams, was."
Buckingham Palace's strong reaction to the new claims
As the new claims of Earl Spencer sparked the reaction from Buckingham Palace, the spokespersons questioned the reliability of the memoir, stating, "While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle."
"His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss," they added.
King Charles' new move revealed
Despite the strong reaction, an insider close to the British Royal Family revealed that the 78-year-old British monarch set out for a powerful comeback in the aftermath of such allegations.
"There was a feeling that allowing such a serious claim to circulate completely unanswered would risk it becoming accepted as fact. The response reflects just how seriously this is being taken, and Charles is now in full damage control mode," the tipster added.
Well, the move is yet to be disclosed by Buckingham Palace, and it may be revealed after the launch of his bombshell memoir on September 22nd, 2026.
