Prince William and Kate Middleton have finally kicked off their first official trip to Isle of Bute.
As shared by royal reporter Rebecca English on Instagram, the Prince and Princess of Wales have arrived on the Isle of Bute, marking their first formal visit to the island since taking new titles.
When in Scotland, the future King and Queen are called as The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the titles which they were given back in 2022 when they became the Prince and Princess of Wales following King Charles III’s ascension to the throne.
During their latest visit, William and Catherine are scheduled to make an appearance in their namesake town of Rothesay, marking it a major moment for the people of the town and for the Royal Couple.
In the video shared by Rebecca English, Prince William and Princess Kate can be seen smiling brightly as they stepped out of their car and met the officials.
“The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay have arrived on the Isle of Bute - their first official visit to the island and the town that gives the name to their Scottish titles - where they will undertake three engagements promoting the power of community,” she captioned.

During their trip, the royal couple will celebrate the spirit of community, volunteering and connection that defines island life.
The visit will also see William and Kate’s appearance in Rothesay and Port Bannatyne, where they will meet the local island communities.
They will stop at the Anchor Tavern Pub & Hub, which was saved by local residents after it closed in 2020.
The parents of three will also meet people involved in protecting Bute’s natural environment, highlighting their support for conservation.
With their trip, Prince William and Princess Kate aim to showcase how local people can work together to strengthen and support their community.
