Bristol, the motorsport venue known as the Last Great Colosseum, saw Joey Logano win the NASCAR Bass Pro Shops Night Race and be forgotten following a brawl.
After getting wrecked out of Saturday's NASCAR Cup race, Ryan Blaney confronted Carson Hocevar on the pit road, which escalated to a physical altercation.
What happened between Ryan Blaney and Carson Hocevar during the race?
Ryan passed Carson for second place late in the race, and when the 23-year-old tried to immediately cross him over, Ryan tried to block.
The move led to Ryan Blaney, 32, crashing into the wall and being unable to continue, finishing 33rd.
Carson went on to finish third, and when he climbed out of the car, Ryan was waiting for him.
He ran up to Carson and grabbed him by the firesuit, but Carson did not hold back.
He immediately punched Ryan in the face, knocking his hat off. He then punched him a second time, and Ryan fell to the ground as he tripped in the escalating brawl.
Ryan then tried to make a run at Carson and grab him again, but the two driver were promptly separated.
Carson Hocevar confuse about the altercation
Following the fight, Carson Hocevar expressed confusion over Ryan's reaction, sharing that the driver spun himself and he does not know what he did wrong.
"I mean, I wasn't trying to wreck him, it just looked like to me, I kind of run and kind of went left, and he spun, and I spun him, so, I mean there wasn't a whole lot talking," said Carson.
The driver, who drives the No. 77 Chevrolet, added, "He just kind of like said one thing, and then went after me, and I wasn't going to take it. I mean, that was fun with the 54 [Gibbs]. I got ran into a lot for the win, I mean that was for second, and he wants to come fight. So, I don't think anybody's left behind me, so they got an old school Bristol show here."
"I don't know what I did wrong there. I got a run to cross him over, looked like he spun himself, and then he wants to instigate a fight. I was gonna finish that, and it seemed like the crowd was pretty pumped up so I was going to play the audience for a second."
Notably, Joey Logani won the Saturday's Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Kyle Larson finished second, Carson Hocevar third, Christopher Bell fourth, and Ty Gibbs fifth.
