Brian Evans has finally shared his side after being dragged into a shocking legal battle.
Earlier this month, Carrot Top’s attorney Ronnie Bitman filed a lawsuit against Evans, alleging that he blackmailed his client and demanded $500,000 in connection with a sexually explicit recording involving Top, and in case of not meeting the requirement, threatened to release the video on public docket.
Breaking silence on the allegations, the 56-year-old released a statement, telling TMZ that the USB drive that the lawsuit mentions had already been deleted.
"I never threatened - ever - to post any video anywhere in exchange for a settlement. … The video they are discussing - as I made very clear - was deleted a long time ago in accordance with the prior settlement,” said Evans.
Speaking about the suicide attempt by Carrot Tops, whose real name is Scott Thompson, Brian Evans expressed that he was "sorry that Scott apparently did something to hurt himself."
"I do not consider Scott to be a bad person ... based on what I know - but he made a few decisions that were not good ones. That is not a reason to hurt himself,” he added.
The musician further noted, "Finally, it’s not my fault … that Scott did what he did. We don’t even actually know what he did. He survived and I am glad about that. Scott is still young and has a big life ahead of him. It’s not my intent to bring this guy down. It’s the opposite."

Thompson's representative told Fox News Digital, "Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs."
"His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy," the representative added.
MGM Resorts, where Thompson has performed for years, also expressed support for the comedian. A spokesperson said the company was relieved to hear that he was recovering and wished him strength during his recovery.
