Saturday Night Live is set to appear on television screens with its brand-new season, but fans are losing it for the new episodes.

The first episode of Season 2 features host Jeff Goldblum and musical guest CMAT, with Jamie Demetriou and Amelia Dimoldenberg set to host the next two instalments.

Notably, the comedy sketch has now moved to the United Kingdom and is set for weekly release on Sundays only on Peacock, but many fans speculate whether the new episode will air on September 20th or not.

When will the new episode of SNL be released?

According to media reports, the new episode will not air, as the repeat telecast of its previous episode will air tonight.

However, the new episode will premiere next week on Saturday, September 26th, bringing up Jalen Brunson as the host of season 52.

Upcoming guests at the SNL UK?

The guests who have been lined up for the upcoming episodes include Dakota Johnson, Shane Gillis, Inde Navarrette and Gracie Abrams.

The classic late-night institution added two new featured players to the cast — Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter — while Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline have been promoted to repertory players.

This update came after last week's grand opening, when the British Royal Family was mocked by the comedians.

Specifically, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who just returned to British soil after six years, were trolled by the cast of Saturday Night Live U.K. during the grand opening (cold open) of Season 2 on September 12th, 2026.

The sketch took place at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, featuring cast members Larry Dean as King Charles III and Emma Sidi as Queen Camilla.

Notably, the Duke of Sussex was played by Jack Shep, while Ayoade Bamgboye portrayed the Duchess of Sussex.

The parody poked fun at their multi-million-dollar Netflix deal, public desire for privacy versus media attention, and Meghan's lifestyle business ventures.
