Prince Harry is reportedly exploring plans for a documentary about his late mother, Princess Diana, as he considers ways to honour her legacy ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death, amid the fallout from Earl Spencer’s controversial new memoir.
As per The Telegraph, the Duke of Sussex contacted some of Diana’s close knit and also her younger brother, Earl Spencer, to take part in a potential film.
However, no documentary project has been officially confirmed at this stage.
“He is still considering the most meaningful way to honor her legacy during this important anniversary year,” a source told the outlet.
The tipster revealed that Harry discussed a number of possible projects aside from a film.
According to the outlet, Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions could oversee the project, with Netflix a likely home given the couple’s ongoing first-look partnership with the streaming giant.

Earlier this month, the Daily Mail reported that Harry was planning a film about Diana, with Richard Kay claiming the Duke had been contacting friends and others who knew his mother to ask them to contribute.
Previously, William and Harry worked together on the “Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy” documentary in 2017 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her death; the brothers have now been estranged for years.

To note, Diana’s younger brother, Charles Spencer, has also revisited Diana’s life in his new memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, offering an intimate account of their relationship, her struggles and the aftermath of her death.
Diana was just 36 years old when she died following a car crash in Paris. After her divorce from then-Prince Charles was finalized in 1996, the late Princess of Wales had recently started a relationship with Egyptian film producer Dodi Fayed at the time of her death.
