The Saudi-led military coalition fighting in Yemen successfully intercepted and destroyed six-ballistic missiles launched by Iran-backed Houthi forces.
According to an official statement, the air defense systems thwarted planned strikes aimed at key western cities in Saudi Arabia, preventing potential casualties and infrastructure damage.

Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki confirmed that the missile barrage was directed toward the western regions of Taif and the industrial port city of Yanbu.
Saudi defense forces detected the projectile mid-flight and destroyed them before reaching their intended destinations. “The escalation and violations by the terrorist Houthi militia will be dealt with firmly,” Maliki stated in posts released following the operational response.
Defense officials did not report any immediate casualties or property destruction resulting from falling missile debris.
