Taapsee Pannu once faced uncomfortable experiences while working alongside an "insecure" actor.
Meanwhile, promoting her new Netflix film, Gandhari, the Thappad actress opened up about the harsh realities of the Indian entertainment industry.
During her conversation with Nayandeep Rakshit, Taapsee recalled that the insecurities of the actors have been escalated this far that they have now started removing their fellow actor over petty reasons.
Taapsee's shocking revelation over co-actor's 'insecurity'
The Dunki actress later made it clear that she was removed from one of the high-budget movies after her lead actor dropped her because her wife was “insecure” about the actress.
"I have been told that I was replaced by the hero of the film. God knows the reason. I keep imagining the reasons. I can imagine the insecurity, I can imagine that he wanted someone else whom he was closer to," the Haseen Dilruba star shared.
She further shared, "I can imagine various reasons, but I wasn’t given any solid reason. I was just told that he didn’t want me in the film because I kept asking the reason for my removal."
Taapsee sheds light on entertainment industry's discrimination
Taapsee, who is mostly seen in action-thriller films, also highlighted the discriminatory behaviour of the filmmakers; she believed that actors wanted to work according to their comfort and were using their tried-and-tested methods in the films.
"For instance, for glamorous roles, they (industry) have a set of five actresses they can cast, and for hard-hitting, issue-based films, they have another set of five actresses to cast," the 39-year-old Indian actress added.
However, she has not revealed the name of the actor or his wife. \
