Tiger Shroff has appeared for the first time after being targeted in a terrifying firing incident.
On Sunday, October 18, the Indian actor was attacked by three motorcycle-borne gunmen, who opened fire at Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu.
Following the incident, the Heropanti actor immediately escaped. However, he appears to have suffered major injuries.
In a Monday, October 19 report, Hindustan Times posted the actor’s first photos after the incident, showing him shirtless as he appeared in bandages at the center of his chest and on right arm and forearm.
The snaps showed him sitting with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
According to insiders at Nanavati Hospital, where Shroff was rushed to following the shooting, the actor suffered minor abrasions and was discharged soon. However, his driver has sustained a major gunshot wound which may require him to undergo a surgery.
Condemning the incident, Eknath Shinde said, “Tiger Shroff’s vehicle was targeted. This incident is deeply concerning and condemnable; I condemn it in the strongest possible terms. I have spoken with the Police Commissioner, and I have also spoken with Tiger Shroff.”
“The Mumbai Police Commissioner has formed several teams to track down those who opened fire—they will be apprehended and given a response in their own language. Our current priority is to keep Mumbai and its citizens safe,” he added.
Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility for the attack
According to Free Press Journal, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has allegedly claimed responsibility for the shooting incident involving Tiger Shroff after a post attributed to Lawrence’s younger brother Anil Pandit began circulating online.
“Jai Mahakal...., Jai Shri Ram. Ram Ram ji to all the brothers, ANIL PANDIT and HARMAN SANDHU take the responsibility of this work done on TIGER SHROFF today. We had called him and explained it to him but he did not understand, so today we explained it to him properly and whoever in the MUMBAI FILM INDUSTRY does not listen to us or works with SALMAN KHAN, his turn will be next. Wait and watch,” read the post.
It added, “Note = And some other group of dogs who think of gaining fame in our name, we will soon kill them and make them famous.”
Police are currently verifying the authenticity of the post.
For those unfamiliar, the clash between the Bishnoi gang and Salman Khan began after the Bollywood star hunt two blackbucks in 1998, which is considered a sacred animal in the Bishnoi community.
