Amitabh Bachchan has sparked concern after sharing a health update during the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18.
The veteran actor, who usually kicks off every episode with high energy, revealed that he suffered a knee injury the previous day.
How did Amitabh Bachchan sustain a knee injury?
"Usually, I do my monologue standing at the centre, but today, I have a knee injury," Amitabh shared.
He continued, "Yesterday, during the shoot, I slipped and fell and injured my knee."
The 83-year-old pointed to his left knee while talking about his injury. The audience gasped loudly after hearing the actor, expressing concern, prompting Amitabh to quickly revealed that the injury was not severe.
He shared that he would stand up to host the challengers but for the opening monologue, he chose to sit as he had a "little bit of difficulty standing up".
The studio audience wished him a speedy recovery.
What happened in the latest episode of 'KBC'?
Amitabh then welcomed the previous day's rollover contestant, Shourjya Das, who continued with her gameplay.
Shourjya managed to play successfully until the INR 25 lakh question, but it was the question for INR 50 lakh that left her blanked.
The question for the major prize was: "In the 1930s, a library at Lucknow University was commissioned from the architect who also designed which national capital?" The options were: Wellington, Canberra, Toronto, Brasilia.
Shourjya was unsure about the correct answer, so she quit the game and walked away with INR 25 lakh. Upon quitting, she guessed Canberra, which was the right answer.
Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming projects
The actor has several projects in the pipeline. He will be seen in Section 84, a courtroom drama directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and featuring Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee. The film is currently in post-production.
He is also set to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, alongside Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
