And this is how you do whimsy!
Sarah Jessica Parker brought fairytail to New York with a stunning braid styled with a ribbon, taking her hair game to new levels.
Sarah Jessica Parker's Rapunzel braid steals the spotlight
The Hocus Pocus actress allowed her grey hair to exist in perfect harmony with her non-grey hair at a star-studded event.
On October 1, Thursday, Sarah attended the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala in quite a Rapunzel-themed hairdo, sparking buzz.
In the braid, a mix of golden, cooler beige, and deeper brown pieces could be seen, which gave the hairstyle more dimensions.
The silver was especially concentrated around the front and crown, where her hair is swept smoothly back from her face.
She was seen entering Lincoln Center with her husband, Matthew Broderick, who wear a classic tuxedo in contrast with Sarah's fairycore outfit.
What did Sarah Jessica Parker wear at NYC Ballet Fall Fashion Gala?
For the high-end outing, Sarah wore a sheer, blush-pink Simone Rocha dress covered in embroidered flowers, with wide satin ribbons threaded loosely throughout the dress and ending as bows on the shoulder.
A matching ribbon was also woven throughout her hair, which was styled in an enormous, layered, fishtail braid.
About 'Grey Blending'
Sarah's long-time colourist, Gina Gilbert, has previously spoken about a "grey blending" method that she uses on the actor, which is a subtle technique used to bring out the best in your silver strands.
"Grey blending is about working with your natural grey rather than trying to completely cover it. Instead of creating a solid colour that can leave a harsh regrowth line, we use a combination of highlights, lowlights and toning to soften the contrast between the grey and the rest of the hair," she noted.
She added, "With Sarah Jessica Parker's hair, the natural hair is embraced and blended through the lighter pieces, creating a really soft, dimensional result. It allows the grey to become part of the overall colour rather than something that needs to be hidden."
