Queen Letizia attended the banquet hosted by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb during her and King Felipe’s state visit.
The Queen turned heads in a sleek, fitted black velvet gown with long sleeves, while her hair was styled in loose, half-up, half-down waves.
The royal previously stepped out in the Felipe Varela design in 2017, during an official visit by Argentina’s president to Spain.
Instead of a tiara, the Queen accessorized with a diamond flower brooch, stud earrings and twin diamond bracelets from the Spanish royal collection, once owned by Queen Victoria Eugenie.
Queen Letizia and King Felipe were welcomed by the presidential couple in the renowned Dining Hall on Tuesday before heading to the State Hall for the banquet.
The October 5–7 trip marks Letizia and Felipe’s first state visit to Finland.
The last Spanish state visit was made by Felipe’s parents, King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia, in 1989. The Spanish Royal Household said the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and reaffirm Spain’s commitment to European security and defense.
