Kelly Clarkson has made her return to the stage for the first time since her public dispute with Brooklyn-based home goods store Art of Play sparked widespread online debate.

The Because of You hitmaker performed at a private corporate event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Wednesday, October 14.

In her concert video, the 44-year-old artist has been seen rocking the stage in an all-black outfit, entertaining the audience and singing some of her biggest hits, including Since U Been Gone, My Life Would Suck Without You and Stronger.

Despite the recent controversy, Clarkson appeared in good spirits as she remained engaged with the crowd and encouraged attendees to sing along.

Kelly Clarkson didn't address her Art of Play dispute

This marked the first concert following the Art of Play dispute during the performance; however, she didn’t discuss it.

The controversy kicked off over the weekend when she visited the Brooklyn store, owned by magician brothers Dan and Dave Buck, hoping to buy a mechanical decorative bird called Molly. The item, created by Seattle artist Bliss Kolb, was reportedly valued at $15,000.

Shortly after the visit, the Since U Been Gone star took to social media and alleged that store staff treated her as though she could not afford the item, claiming she has been offered a comparable alternative rather.

Art of Play later responded to the backlash, stating that the bird was not available for sale. Surveillance footage of Clarkson’s interaction with employees subsequently circulated online, although the video contained no audio.

The incident divided social media users, with fans debating the accounts of both parties.

The bird’s price has reportedly since seen a dramatic surge. As per The U.S. Sun store co-owner Adam Rubin stated it is now priced at $15 million.

He added that, if sold at that price, the store would give $1 million to the artist and $15,000 to each employee.

It is pertinent to mention Kelly Clarkson has yet to publicly address the controversy during her return to the stage.
