Travis Barker is opening up about his long-standing feelings for Kourtney Kardashian, revealing that falling “madly” in love with the reality star felt like “perfect symmetry” after years of loving her from afar.
The 50-year-old drummer reflected on his romance with The Kardashians star, 47, during the Wednesday, October 14, episode of Billy Corgan’s The Magnificent Others podcast, describing their 2021 relationship as “a perfect symmetry.”
“When it happened, it was like a perfect symmetry from both of our sides,” he said.
Barker added, “Her friends would be like, ‘Oh, you and Trav.’ And she’d be like, ‘Ah yeah, I don’t know if that’ll ever happen.’ And people would say the same thing to me.”
He continued, “We both wanted it to happen and we knew if it did happen, it would probably be like neither of us would have a choice. We would just be overwhelmed with whatever and fall madly in love. And we did.”
The Blink-182 musician noted that their years of friendship gave them “such a strong foundation,” something he had never experienced before starting a relationship.
“I already loved her as a friend… I loved her for years,” he said, before adding. “It was someone that was always a friend, that I always thought about. I always was like, ‘Oh my God.’”

Barker and Kardashian exchanged vows in 2022 through three wedding ceremonies, officially bringing their families together.
He is dad to daughter Alabama, 20, son Landon, 23, and stepdaughter Atiana, 27, while Kardashian shares three children with ex Scott Disick: Mason, 16, Penelope, 14, and Reign, 11.
