Meghan Markle is believed to be fuming over Kate Middleton’s new “PR stunt” with daughter Princess Charlotte, but Catherine’s friend has set the record straight.
Princess Kate made an unusual move earlier this week as she chose to commute via London Tube with her daughter Charlotte and her down-to-earth approach garnered immense praise from Royal fans.
However, sources close to Meghan claimed that for The Duchess of Sussex, Kate’s use of public transportation is a “slap in the face” amid her and Prince Harry’s battle for their tax-payer funded security in the UK.
A source told Naughty But Nice that, “Harry and Meghan say Britain is too dangerous for their children, then Catherine casually takes Charlotte on the Tube. Meghan sees that as a calculated slap in the face.”
Per the insider Meghan thinks that Harry’s sister-in-law has tried to make a point that if despite being the future Queen she and her daughter can take public transport, why can’t the Sussexes?
However, a close friend of Kate came forward in her defense clarifying that “Catherine doesn’t spend her days plotting ways to embarrass Meghan”
“She was enjoying time with Charlotte. Meghan wasn’t even part of the conversation.. Catherine was being a mother, not sending a message, Meghan needs to understand that not everything revolves around her,” they added.
