Princess Eugenie has given Meghan Markle and Prince Harry a new shock, and The Duke of Sussex wants the Princess of York to set the record straight.
In a shocking turn of events, a personally inscribed copy of Meghan’s children's book, The Bench – which the duchess had gifted to Harry’s cousin and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, was enlisted for sale on eBay.
As confirmed by RadarOnline, Meghan and Harry are aware of the humiliating snub by Eugenie – who failed to treasure the special present, signed with a heart touching personal note in the As Ever founder’s distinctive calligraphy.
The inscription – which showcased Meghan and Eugenie’s close bond, read, "Dear Eug & Jack, Celebrating the special bond between father and son.”
“I wrote this poem at Frogmore – I hope that Eug, you witness the same love there with your guys. All love, Meghan,” it added.
Now sources close to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are claiming that The Bench’s enlistment for sale for £20,000 has left Meghan “devastated”.
"Meghan is seeing this as the biggest snub yet from Eugenie, as she can't understand how the personalized book wasn't treasured,” an insider told the aforementioned outlet.
The insider also claimed that Harry has even reached out to the daughter of his disgraced uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, demanding explanation over this public snub.
To note, it is still unclear whether the book has been sold or removed from the website as it disappeared from eBay after being viewed by thousands of buyers.
