Yami Gautam has addressed reports that she received a “big fat cheque” for her cameo in Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
While promoting her horror-comedy Nayyi Navelli, the Haq starlet discussed her cameo in Dhurandhar: The Revenge during an upcoming episode of Kon Honaar Crorepati, hosted by Madhuri Dixit.
In a promotional clip shared on Instagram, Dixit praised the film before asking Gautam whether she had charged a fee for her brief role or joined the project at her husband’s request.
Addressing the reports, Yami denied receiving a big cheque for her appearance, explaining that the opportunity to work under Aditya’s direction was priceless.
She said, “I read somewhere that I got a very big fat cheque for the cameo and I was like what is this? But I think some things are priceless. It was very sweet of Aditya to say, ‘Yami I want you to come in my film just for good luck.’ But it was so fun. To get directed by one of the finest directors was my fees.”
“And it was fun to watch you in Dhurandhar The Revenge, when she turns and we see it's Yami, it was fun to watch,” the Article 370 actress said.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the sequel to the 2025 action thriller Dhurandhar.
Yami makes a brief appearance as Shazia Bano, a nurse revealed to be an undercover Indian agent in Pakistan.
The film stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Sara Arjun. It follows Jaskirat Singh Rangi, aka Hamza, as he navigates criminal networks and political power struggles while targeting those linked to terrorist attacks against India.
