Ranbir Kapoor has praised Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita in Ramayana.
Ahead of Sai Pallavi’s appearance as the first guest on Jayammu Nischayammu Raa Season 2, her Ramayana co-star praised her performance, saying he couldn’t imagine anyone else playing Sita.
The Animal actor said, "Sai, what I admire most about you is your honesty. When you're in a scene, you're not acting, you're living it. Every co-star should be lucky enough to share the frame with someone like you. And when it came to Sita, I honestly can't imagine anyone else. Sita is grace, strength and quiet dignity, and you bring all of that so naturally. Standing opposite you as Lord Ram, I didn't feel like I was acting. I felt like I was in the presence of Sita herself.”
"People are going to see you in a whole new light and I can't wait for that," he added.
Kapoor also addressed the warmth he has received from the Telugu audience, sharing, "And to my Telugu audience, every time I've come to Hyderabad, you've treated me like family. The love you've shown my films and the respect you have for cinema are unmatched anywhere. Thank you and lots of love. Sai, have fun on the show.”
Ramayana cast and release date
To note, Ramayana is structured as a two-part epic.
Part 1 is scheduled for global theatrical release on November 5, 2026 (including premium formats like IMAX), with Part 2 expected for Diwali 2027.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari (Dangal), the blockbuster stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Kannada superstar Yash as the antagonist Ravana.
