Prince William makes blunt confession about Travis Kelce joining Taylor Swift Wembley snap

Prince William is letting his inner thoughts finally come out.

On his June 2024 birthday, the Prince of Wales treated his three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – to Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour during its stop at London’s Wembley Stadium.

After the concert, the future King and his kids met the global pop icon backstage and posed with her for an iconic selfie, which also features Swift’s then-boyfriend Travis Kelce in the frame. The snap was then posted by the Cruel Summer hitmaker on her official Instagram handle.

During his first-ever appearance on The Graham Norton Show this week, King Charles’s elder son was asked if he was aware of the significance of the Grammy winner’s post.

Prince William made a blunt confession, revealing that he did not want the NFL star join that photo, and tried removing him from it.

“I wasn't until recently. I hadn't appreciated the significance, and actually – I was trying to move him out of the photo!" William cheekily joked.

As the audience laughed in shock, the father of three continued, "Travis kept coming back in, and I couldn't work out why he kept coming back in! I was trying to move him out so it was just me and Taylor and the children!"

Previously, Prince William had confessed being a huge Taylor Swift fan, recalling an incident from the 2013’s Centerpoint Gala, where he was called up on stage alongside the Blank Space singer and Jon Bon Jovi to sing Livin’ on a Prayer.

"To this day, I still do not know what came over me. Honestly, even now I'm cringing at what happened next, and I don't understand why I gave in,” said the future monarch.

He quipped, "But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your arm, and says, 'Come with me...' I got up like a puppy and went, 'Yeah, OK, that seems like a great idea. I'll follow you.'"
