King Charles has made a return to public after the royal family shared a series of photographs from his recent Caribbean tour, amid fresh concerns regarding the monarch's health and ongoing cancer treatment.
Taking to Instagram, the Royal Family’s official account shared a series of photos capturing moments from Their Majesties' nine-day Caribbean tour, thanking supporters who followed their journey.
The caption read, “A shared journey is measured not by the miles travelled but the moments that stay with us. Thank you to all who supported and followed Their Majesties’ Caribbean tour.”
The post comes a day after the 78-year-old monarch concluded his Caribbean engagements, having visited multiple nations alongside Queen Camilla.
However, the new post comes amid renewed discussions about his health following comments from royal commentator Tom Sykes, who recently met the King in person.
Speaking about the monarch's physical condition, Sykes claimed that cancer treatment has taken a huge “toll on him”, although his professionally hides the effects of his health woes behind the makeup.
Skyes revealed that in person, Harry and William’s father “looks incredibly frail,” adding, “It looks totally fine on camera, I think it’s the right thing to do, I hasten to add… It would be distracting if Charles was looking terribly grey or this or that… All the conversation would be about his health.”
“He just looks very, very, very old and very, very tired,” he said, adding that he was “impressed” by Charles’ continued dedication to duty, Skyes added.
Despite his concerns, Skyes addressed that Charles remained committed to his royal responsibilities and clarified that he was not suggesting the monarch was close to death.
For those unaware, His Majesty announced his cancer diagnosis in February 2024 and has continued undertaking public engagements while receiving treatment.
