Prince Harry has broken cover since his father-in-law, Thomas Markle, faced child abuse controversy.

The Duke of Sussex made his first public appearance in the United Kingdom on Wednesday, November 4th.

Harry was invited to deliver a Keynote speech at the Wanderlust Travel Media Awards in the Old Royal Naval College, London.

For the prestigious event, the father of two opted for a suit and a red-and-blue striped tie.

The Duke of Sussex said, “I started Travalyst because I believe deeply in travel as a force for good.”

Prince Harry's involvement in Travalyst has often been the subject of criticism, with both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being accused of being “hypocrites” over their frequent use of private jets.

The Daily Mail claimed that in the same year the company was launched, the couple made four such trips in just 11 days.

Harry said at the time, during a speech in Amsterdam following criticism, that there are occasions when he needs to keep his family safe.

For the unversed, Prince Harry founded the not-for-profit organisation Travayst in 2019 to make tourism more environmentally friendly.

The Duke has undertaken his role as the founder of Travalyst during his new appearance.

First appearance after Meghan Markle's dad row

This sighting also marked his first since his father-in-law was accused of sexually abusing children.

After Meghan Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr. hand overed images containing child abuse to found from the retired director’s home in Philippines.

The investigation began after Markle Sr.’s son, Thomas Markle Jr., reported finding “hundreds, if not thousands” of illicit images and videos on devices at his father's former home in Cebu, Philippines.

He subsequently turned over four boxes containing phones, hard drives, computers, and videotapes to the Philippine National Police.

Philippine police obtained a formal forensic warrant to extract and analyse data from the seized electronics.

So far, the 42-year-old Royal Family's estranged member has not addressed the controversy.
