Siddharth Suryanarayan was nervous about fiancé Aditi Rao Hydari rejecting his engagement proposal before they had actually decided to exchange their rings.
Recently present at Galatta Golden Stars, he answered some inquiries regarding their private ceremony.
The actor said, “These questions on how long it took (for her to say yes) shouldn’t be asked. The end result must be either yes or no, pass or fail. I was worried whether it would be a yes! Luckily, I passed.”
Both the stars were rumored to be seeing each other from the time they shot together for their 2021 film, Maha Samudram, but neither confirmed any reports when probed in interviews.
Since no public announcements were ever made about their relationship, fans say Siddharth must have naturally felt as if it’s too early to propose her.
It’s however to be kept in mind that the London, Paris, New York lead has always remained hushed about her private life, even when it came to verifying her marriage with Satyadeep Mishra in 2002, for which the actual date still remains unconfirmed.
Going on, Sidharth was asked when is he planning to tie the knot.
He replied, “The wedding date will depend on the elders (of the families). It isn’t like a shooting date I can decide on, it’s a lifetime date. It will happen at the right time once they decide.”
“Many told me we had gotten engaged in secret. There’s a big difference between doing something privately with family and in secret,” the star added.
Siddharth has primarily appeared in Tamil and Teleugu movies, although his portrayal of Jai in the 2013 comedy, Chashme Baddoor, receives praises to date.
