The new sequel of Peaky Blinders, which has recently been announced, has revealed the new Duke Shelby.
According to The Sunday Guardian, Jamie Bell has been cast as Duke Shelby, the son of Cillian Murphy’s character in the original series, Thomas Shelby.
A first-look teaser image has been released by Netflix, which shows a glimpse of Bell as Duke Shelby.
Moreover, he has replaced Barry Keoghan from Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
Announced on April 2, 2026, the Peaky Blinders sequel series will include two new six-episode seasons.
As per Netflix, the production of the sequel is currently in the development phase.
As per the update, apart from Jamie Bell, the series also stars Charlie Heaton, Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski.
Set in 1953 in a post-World War II, the new series will be take place in the rebuilding period in Birmingham, making it a period of industrial expansion, infrastructure development and economic growth.
At the core of it all will be Duke Shelby, now an older man but more ambitious.
It is worth mentioning here that possible release of the new series will be in late 2026 or early 2027.
Meanwhile, all Peaky Blinders seasons and the newly released movie are currently streaming on Netflix.
