King Charles’ unexpected decision for this year’s Easter has sparked a frenzy!

The 77-year-old monarch – who spread joy with his delightful appearance in North Wales alongside Queen Camilla for this year’s Maundy Service on Thursday, April 2, made a shocking announcement regarding his Easter message.

As confirmed by Buckingham Palace, His Majesty will not be releasing any message this year’s Easter. 

According to GB news, this is not an unusual for the monarch, as he does not issue a message every year.

Following the Easter message update, the official Instagram account of Royal Family shared a video of King Charles and Queen Camilla from their historic Maundy Service in North Wales.

Shortly after the video was shared, Royal fans flocked to the comments section to express their "disappointment" over Charles' latest move.

One user commented, "Very disappointed to read that you wont be doing an Easter message. You are meant to be Defender of the Faith."

Another added, "Your Majesty. I’m very disheartened to read that you will not be releasing an Easter message this year - a very difficult year and tumultuous time, when such a message is most needed."

"Why is King Charles not issuing an Easter message this year? He's supposed to be defender of the faith is he not??" wrote a third.

"I will never sing God save the king ever again, I can’t believe he’s breaking tradition and not giving a Easter message," another expressed his anger.

One user hoped, "I sincerely hope over the easter period a message will be given to Christians from the King!!"
