Dwayne Johnson has made a surprise career move after debuting his new track, Your Dad.
The Jumanji actor recently shared his raw opinion on transitioning his career to music, as it seems that country music could be a direction he would like to explore.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, Dwayne revealed that he's considering making music a more important part of his career.
He was also asked about the chances of digging deeper into music, stating, "I'm exploring that now, and I appreciate you asking that."
"As you roll along in life, I’ve been really fortunate to be part of some really cool projects and love it. But music has always been such an anchor for me, and very specifically in genres that I love, like country music, traditional country music. And we’re exploring that now," the Red Notice actor added.
The 54-year-old American actor revealed that music is especially important to him because he doesn't feel the pressure that most of his film projects carry.
"This song for me is just a song I dedicated to my daughters. There's no pressure to think about sales, earnings or stream counts. It's just something from me to them," Johnson remarked.
Dwayne Johnson had dreams of being a country singer as a teen, while his first foray into music came as part of a 2000 collaboration with Wyclef Jean on It Doesn’t Matter, before really showing his talents on Your Welcome from 2016’s Moana.
