Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt has officially proposed to his longtime partner, model and entrepreneur Kasi Bennett, during his birthday celebration.
A rooftop proposal in Kingston
The eight-time Olympic gold medalist popped the question on the rooftop of One Belmont in Kingston, Jamaica. During the intimate celebration, Bolt presented Bennett with a stunning five-carat diamond ring to seal the special moment.
More than a decade together
The couple began dating around 2013 and first captured public attention during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Over their 13-year journey, the couple faced past internet rumors including a viral fake engagement hoax years ago with Bolt once joking in an interview:
“I’m not engaged, somebody edited a picture on my Snapchat and said ‘she said yes’ with a ring but it was well done though.”
Growing family life
While fans have long awaited wedding bells, the couple spent recent years focusing on their growing family. They share three children: daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt, born in May 2020, and twin boys Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt, born in June 2021.
Bolt previously noted his family’s eager anticipation for the step, sharing, “My mum’s pressuring me.”
