Taylor Swift has reportedly distanced herself from yet another longtime bestfriend after Blake Lively fall out.
The 14-time Grammy winner - who previously broke ties with the Age of Adaline actress after being dragged in her messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni, has now cutt off Ed Sheeran over a "political" reason.
During the opening act at his MetLife Stadium concert, Ed invited a special guest, Macklemore - who advocated for Palestinians by calling for a “Free Palestine” and performing Hind’s Hall, with images of Gaza playing in the background.
Now sources close to the Midnights songstress are claiming that the Shape of You hitmaker's heart-winning gesture did not sit well with Taylor as she decided to distance herself from Ed to avoid yet another controversy.
“Taylor wants no part of this, she loves Ed, but she is incredibly careful about what becomes attached to her name," an insider told Rob Shuter.
They continued, "She isn’t inheriting somebody else’s political controversy because they’re friends."
The tipster further clarified that there is no suggestion that Taylor has ended her friendship with Ed, whom she has been close with since 2012..
“This isn’t Taylor turning against Ed,” said the insider, adding “It’s Taylor protecting Taylor. She knows one text, one photograph, one comment can become an international headline.”
