Jonas Brothers have arrived at the MCG, and they conquered the halftime show.

The three musician brothers, Nick, Joe and Kevin, brought back the seemingly viral 80s trend as they wore old-fashioned American razzle dazzle during their historic opening at the 2026 NFL halftime show in Melbourne, Australia.

On Friday, September 11th, the three siblings delivered iconic renditions, including Burnin' Up, Sucker, and their new hit track, Listen When Sad, before giving legendary Aussie musician John Farnham a huge shout-out.

Nick sang the opening lyrics of the iconic singer's song, You're the Voice, which was later completed by the cheering crowd at the stadium.

After months of hype and headlines in the local media, the contest between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams kicked off at 8.35 pm ET on Thursday, September 10th.

The football circus found a connection with Aussie sports fans, as more than 100,000 filled the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground to witness history in the making.

For those unaware, it was not the first time the siblings have strutted their stuff for the NFL halftime show.

When did Jonas Brothers' announce their NFL 2026 halftime show performance?

The New Jersey natives performed on Thanksgiving in 2022 in Dallas when the Cowboys defeated the New York Giants.

"We couldn't be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL's first-ever regular-season game in Australia," they said when it was initially announced in August.

Fans' reaction over NFL halftime show

As their performance went viral on social media, several fans began drawing comparisons with Bad Bunny, who has broken all the records with his electrifying performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show earlier this year.

"I can’t get over the fact they played in my home city," one said.

Another added, "That performance was fire! They nailed it!"

"Best halftime show this decade and it's not even the Super Bowl," a third indirectly dissed Bad Bunny.

A fourth said, "Loved the performance; very cute to see them returning to big stages."

While, Bad Bunny performed at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

At the time, he was joined by Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, Los Pleneros de la Cresta, Cardi B, Karol G, Pedro Pascal, and Jessica Alba.
