Parineeti Chopra has made an honest admission about motherhood as her acting career returns.
After welcoming her son, Neer, with her husband Raghav Chadha, the Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl actress spoke about the challenges she faced after embracing motherhood for the first time.
During the trailer launch event of her upcoming movie, Shaque: Trust No One, Parineeti said, "I don’t think I’ve had a single conversation with a maker, director or writer who has mentioned motherhood to me."
"I don't remember anybody saying, 'Now that you're a mom, this is what we're offering you,' and that lack of association is the win. I would hate to stop working just because I became a mom. It's a two-way relationship; I have to be offered work, and I would be sad to lose work because I've done such a beautiful thing in producing a baby," the Meri Pyaari Bindu actress added.
Heartfelt nod to motherhood as she set for the acting return
As she steps into this new phase, the actress has opened up about receiving good roles after motherhood and lauded the industry for not cancelling working mothers.
She further praised actresses like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone for continuing to do quality work; with Alia, she has appeared in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani shortly after she welcomed her daughter, Raha Kapoor, whom she shares with Ranbir Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Deepika has been seen working during her first pregnancy with Dua Padukone Singh, and now she is pregnant with her second child alongside her work commitments.
Parineeti Chopra - who has been married with Raghav Chadha since 2023, has not stopped working after marriage with the politician.
However, before she welcomed her first child she was appeared in Imtiaz Ali's popular music, drama, Amar Singh Chamkila, alongside Diljit Dosanjh, which released in April 2024.
Now, she is gearing up for the big acting return and her first after embracing motherhood with Netflix's upcoming film, Shaque: Trust No One, set for September 24th, 2026.
