Virat Kohli might set for his debut project, that too alongside her wife, Anushka Sharma.
The couple – who have been living in the United Kingdom to protect the identity of their two kids, Vamika and Akaay- have appeared together in their first spiritual film, based on Vishal's book, Divine Detour: That Changed My Life.
After the surprise success of the devotional drama Hanuman Ansh, the film’s producer, Namrata, spoke about the sequel to the spiritual film and its star cast.
For the unversed, Hanuman Ansh previously featured Purnima Tiwari, Chandan K. Anand, Rajiv Mishra, Rishikesh Dubey, Hunny Bakshi, Rishi Pathak, and others.
Now Namrata spoke about the new star-studded cast, and whether Anushka, Virat and Julia Roberts, who are die-hard devotees of Neem Karoli Baba, will feature in the new film.
She said, "I have reached out to some of them, and they were aware of the film earlier. There are thousands of devotees whose lives he touched in India, and they come first, without doubt. The Kainchi story is about the Indian devotees."
Namrata also spoke about how Hanuman Ansh focused on Neem Karoli Baba's early years up to the Kainchi Dam.
She stated that the second part will focus on Kainchi and the third part will be set internationally.
"The third film will focus on how he put India on the global map by spiritual energy that he transferred to the foreigners, be it Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, Julia Roberts, etc. However, we'll touch on it later (in the third part)," Namrata added.
When did Anushka Sharma last appeared on screen?
So far, Anushka Sharma – who last made a brief cameo appearance in the 2022 film Qala nor her husband, Virat Kohli, have confirmed their first movie together.
It is pertinent to note that Hanuman Ansh follows the early life of Lakshmi Narayan in pre-Independence India. He leaves home after his mother's death in search of God.
The film details his journey through North India and his transformation into Neem Karoli Baba. Shobhinaw Satyaa plays the titular role.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's previous projects together
This is not the first time Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have shared on screen, they first appeared on screen together in 2013 when they shot a television commercial for a shampoo brand.
Before quietly dating each other they filmed a TV advertisement together after being introduced on set.
