Tensions between the two fighters boiled over during the pre-fight festivities culminating in McMillen launching a Twinkie at his opponent’s camp.
Hotel brawl triggers feud
The animosity originally erupted days earlier inside an Arizona fighter hotel. McMillen and Rahiki crossed paths near an elevator sparking an intense physical altercation.
According to McMillen, he confronted Rahiki directly after hearing trash talk leading to shoving before venue security rushed in to separate the crews.
Both undefeated athletes exchanged heated insults setting the stage for a fiery final face-off.
The twinkie stunt explained
When both men made their way onto the stage for the ceremonial weigh-ins, the atmosphere remained extremely volatile. Following a tense physical interaction on stage, McMillen threw a Twinkie pastry directly at Rahiki’s team.
Addressing the moment afterward, McMillen explained that his target was actually Rahiki’s coach. He claimed the rival coach stepped out of line by involving himself in the original hotel brawl earlier in the week.
