The Mask star – who has broken the internet earlier this year with his bold appearance at the 51st César Awards in Paris has made an overnight sensation on social media with his fresh, hilarious move.
Jim, 64, is known for his satirical approach and has paid tribute to his longtime friend and fellow comedian, Jeff Ross, in his comedic style.
The birthday star took to his Instagram account to release the humorous video of Carrey wishing his close pal a happy birthday while mocking him, showing the never-before-seen side of himself.
"Canadian mountain man Jim Carrey sent me this for my birthday. It made me so happy I had to share it with roast fans everywhere!" Ross stated in the caption.
The Man on the Moon star continued, saying, "EVERYONE PLEASE KEEP ROASTING ME IN THE COMMENTS BELOW! ROASTING IS LOVE!"
In the self-recorded footage, Carrey was heard saying, "Hi Jeff, it's Jim Carrey. Remember me, I’m the friend who lived but only because I became a chess, of course that’s the reference to my apartment fellow from 1957 called."
"Sixty years ago, a boy named Jeff came to the world and said he was an ugly baby, but when he was born, God made his mother sign an NDA, and nothing changed then; it's got worse," he continued roasting.
