Patrick Mahomes returns from injury
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL and LCL late last season ending his campaign early. Woodson noted that Mahomes has been “Superman” for the Chiefs, leading them to five Super Bowls and three titles over the past 10 years.
He wants to see how the injury affects Mahomes mentally especially since the team has long relied on him while lacking a consistent 1,000-yard rusher since 2017.
Mahomes is expected to start Monday night’s season opener against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday Night Football.
