Miley Cyrus' new album Bass Persuades is finally here.
On Friday, September 18 - just hours after lifting the curtain on her last conversation with late godmother and queen of country music, Dolly Parton, Miley released her highly-anticipated album, Bass Persuades.
Miley shared a sultry black-and-white poster, featuring the 33-year-old singer, topless, covering her assets with both hands.
The carousel also included other behind-the-scenes videos and photos with an emotional note for her fans.
"This album happened fast but that’s been my life for 20 years. Once I started wishing to land a role that would make LA my home it’s been nonstop," wrote the Flowers hitmaker as she revealed a touching reality behind her tenth studio album.
"This album is a reflection of everywhere I’ve been along the way and the peace that came with starting to slow it all down. Thank you for celebrating this release with me. It’s a special record and it’s bliss to share with you. Love always," she added.
Miley further announced that alongside BASS PERSUADES. THE ALBUM, the music video of one of its tracks, LETS GET MARRIED is also out.
What Miley and Dolly Parton discussed in their last conversation?
In her conversation with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Miley recalled her last chat with Dolly - who passed away earlier this month at the age of 80.
“The time that we talked — which was the last time we would talk — it was actually me telling her about this record because even though we are so different, that’s what made us so perfect for each other is that she knew this, and I know this,” the one-time Grammy-winner revealed.
Miley also explained how she and Dolly formed a deeper bond by understanding the balance between public persona and authenticity.
"She’s known for, I guess, the faux, the fake, the hair, the makeup, the show of it, but there’s a part of her that’s just what I think everyone gravitates toward — how real she is and how authentic she is," she noted.
BASS PERSUADES full track list
Miley's new album - which has been simultaneously released on Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube, includes ten songs.
The album announcement was coincided with the death of the Jolene singer.
