Presley Gerber, the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, passed away at just 27.
As per the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records obtained by PEOPLE, Presley died on Sunday, September 20.
Crawford’s publicist, while confirming the news, stated, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Presley was the son of model Crawford and Rande, a businessman. He was also the brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

Presley’s cause of death has not been revealed, but as per the county medical examiner’s office, the model died at a rehab facility.
According to TMZ, an autopsy has not yet been completed.
Three years before, Presley opened up about his mental health and substance abuse struggles.
Speaking at the Studio 22 podcast, he said, “Having struggled with mental health, depression, and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”
“(Mental health) is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it. That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether they're depressed or you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean, it could be anything, and there’s no judgment,” Presley added.
He said that he had seen a lot of stuff and had learned a lot of things, and that he hoped he could have made the mistakes for other people so they would not have to make the same mistakes he had made.
Presley faced a DUI charge in December 2019, and in 2020 he got a "MISUNDERSTOOD" tattoo on his face, which he appeared to have removed a year later.
Later, he started posting “Mental Health Monday” videos on Instagram in which he discussed his experience in the recovery group.
Presley, who made his runway debut for Italian label Moschino at just 16, walks for brands including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bottega Veneta, as well as US labels Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren.
