Earl Spencer has driven the last nail into the coffin just a few hours before the launch of his memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.
The 62-year-old British peer has made a few more final revelations ahead of the global launch of his bombshell tell-all book on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026.
In his expanded interview, the ninth Earl of the Spencer family talked about his publication and discussed in detail what the 350-page book is about.
The conversation was recorded at his ancestral property, Althorp, where the late Princess was laid to rest after the mass funeral on September 6th, 2026, at Westminster Abbey, attended by 2 billion people.
During the in-depth meeting, Charles Earl reflected on and debunked Princess Diana's "unhappy" childhood myth, stating that it was a happy childhood.
After their mother, Frances, left her husband and her two children, their father, John, took care of their home and gave his children the environment which they needed the most.
"I checked it with people who remembered it. We had a really lovely nanny called Sally and she remembered Diana as this very happy little girl," he added.

The younger brother of the deceased "Queen of hearts" – who got married for the fourth time earlier this year also talked about his grief of losing a sister, whom he used to shower with love and compliments.

He shared that the book, which has already made noise before its release, is nothing but 350 pages of compliments he always wanted to give his late sister.
At one point, Charles Earl shared the complete story that his father had feelings for King Charles's late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Sticking to his words, the broadcaster spoke about his father, who was a good-looking army officer, saying, "What on earth do you think you're doing? You're not suitable."
"He was a really good-looking young army officer and working close to the royal family, and some connection was felt on both sides, I believe," he added.
King Charles portrayal in The Crown was fake?
He may have further ignited a feud when he revealed that King Charles' portrayal in The Crown is "just not true" because him crying on Diana's death had filmed differently.
Princess Diana died at the age of 36 on August 31st, 1997, in Paris after a fatal car accident alongside her rumoured boyfriend, Dodi Fayed.
However, the alleged affair was not discussed in the memoir by Charles Earl Spencer.

Charles Earl Spencer's claims and his explosive stance over Princess Diana's private life and her painful marriage with King Charles have sparked a rare response from Buckingham Palace, in which the aides have blasted the author for colouring the "memory in ways others do not recognise."
This statement might hint at a cold war between His Majesty and his former brother-in-law.
