Xiaomi has officially confirmed the key specs of its forthcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max handsets before China release on September 23.
The recently introduced flagship series will primarily focus on camera, performance and display privacy, with both models consisting of dual 200MP Leica cameras.
Notably, the launch of Xiaomi 18 Pro Max comes after the release of Apple's flagship iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max specs
In terms of camera capabilities, the forthcoming handset consists of a 200MP main sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches and a 200MP periscope telephoto with a 1/1.56-inch sensor.
The telephoto offers a 75mm focal length, 3.2x optical zoom and up to 12.8x lossless zoom. It can also focus as close as 12cm, making it a perfect fit for all photography enthusiasts.
As per the Chinese tech manufacturer, the telephoto camera’s light intake has risen by 280% on the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 83% in contrast to its predecessors.
Additional upgrade is Super Pixel Display 2.0, a hardware-based privacy technology similar to the Privacy Display introduced on Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra. Xiaomi stated the technology can minimise screen brightness to nearly 1 percent when viewed beyond a 60-degree angle, making the display difficult to see from the side.
The phones will also feature rear secondary displays, 7,000mAh and 8,500mAh batteries, 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Both models will be integrated with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processors, with the Pro Max receiving a higher-tier version.
Xiaomi has confirmed the September 23 China launch, while pricing and global availability have yet to be announced.
